Quick Update and a Thank You

The Chase is now free everywhere! If you see a place where it is NOT free, it is a scam. Do not buy it and please report it to me as well as the retailer. Please note that only the ebook is free, though. The paperback still costs money.

On to book news... I am working on three sequels to "Wolves Among Us." I know many people felt The Chase was unfinished because Tess's issues remained unresolved, but they will be taken care of in a new book. That book may not be out for a while, however, because a different book is set to come first chronologically.

I wish I could get more books out faster for you, but at the moment, this is not my full time job. I am also taking online classes in order to get a degree while writing these. Online classes, while they are not necessarily as time consuming as going to a campus, require a lot more writing. By the time I finish my assignments, I usually just want to get as far away from a computer screen as physically possible and not think about typing a word. There is a light at the end of the tunnel, though. I will be graduating in just over a year. By 2015, I should be finished and then I can focus on making writing a priority.

I genuinely love writing and I am so grateful that these methods of sharing my works with so many people exists. This is truly an amazing time when we, the little, completely unknown people of the world, can publish our words and allow others to buy them... You do not have to have a big name to sell books anymore. You do not have to sell your soul to a publishing company to get your books in print. You do not have to change your creative vision to suit someone else. You just have to write.

Words cannot express how grateful I am to the companies that allow little ol' me to publish my books through them without selling my soul nor how grateful I am to the readers that are willing to buy my books and support me. Thank you!

The Chase is free!

The Chase is free on Smashwords! This means is will soon be free on many platforms such as the Nook, Apple, and many others. However, for it to be free on Amazon, we need YOU to tell Amazon to make it free. ;) There's a cool feature on Amazon that lets you tell them about a lower price. If enough people tell them it's free on Smashwords (or anywhere else), then they will make it free for the Kindle.

The links to Amazon (in the above text) are to the US Amazon. If you live in a different country, you can still try to make The Chase free in YOUR country! Simply track down the book on your respective Amazon websites.

Sequels to "The Chase," "Broken," and "Rogues" are coming soon! Keep an eye out. ;)

Available in Print!

Broken, The Chase, and Rogues are all available on Amazon in paperback! I priced each of them at $3.99, but Amazon currently has it discounted by 20%!  I don't know how long that will last, so now is a good time to grab a copy if you are interested. The great thing is that these books qualify for Super Saving Shipping if you spend $25 or more total! So, if you're already planning on buying something that also qualifies, you can get my books with free shipping!

Sorry if I sound like an advertizement! Honestly, I'm a bit excited about it. In fact, I prefer to order my own copies directly from Amazon for the list price because of the free shipping, rather than ordering directly from the supplier and having to pay for shipping, even if it is cheaper per book (though not by much).

I've priced all three books at the lowest price possible and will only be getting about 10 cents per book, but I think it's great to actually hold a book in your hands. I miss the new book smell... :( I love ebooks, but nothing compares to getting a new physical book. I am anxiously awaiting the delivery of my new books.

I hope everyone had a good weekend!

New Covers

It's no secret I make my own covers. I do it for many reasons, not the least of which is the fact that commissioning covers can be expensive. As a self-published author that has very little money to spare, it's just not worth forking over hundreds of dollars for covers. In addition, I like being able to do my own covers. They're not the best, but as a control freak (hence why I don't want to go through a traditional publisher) I love being able to decide what my books look like.

Where am I going with this? Well, a few years ago when my mom wanted me to help her make book covers for her books (before I had finished my own books), we put together a few covers... They stunk, to put it nicely. They were scribbles and I won't pretend that they were good, even with my artistic talent. Later, I found a program that made making covers a bit easier and better looking. However, they still were far from the best.

Today, I am proud to say that I have learned SO MUCH recently and am able to make somewhat nice looking book covers. I won't say they're perfect, but I love the one I made today and I have to share it.

This is the new cover for "Broken" in the "Wolves Among Us" series. I learned new tricks for making covers pleasing to the eye and I used all of them on this cover. I especially love the way Lily looks. She turned out so perfectly on this cover! I can't wait to make tons more covers!

Anyways, I will slowly be replacing most of my book covers with improved covers. If you have any suggestions of what you would like to see on future covers, let me know! In fact, if you want a cover made for your books, send me a message! I promise not to charge $100+. ;)

For those of you anxiously awaiting "Rogues," it's coming soon! I'll share the blurb tomorrow.

"Rogues" Cover Reveal!

Here is the cover for my newest book in the "Wolves Among Us" series!

"Rogues" is a 40k novella, making it the longest book in the "Wolves Among Us" series so far. It introduces new characters to the series that will play a big part in later books as well.

Don't worry! Tess & Christopher and Ian & Lilly have not been forgotten! There will be a sequel to "Broken" that is currently titled "Mend." Also, the two main characters in "Rogues" will be meeting all four previous main characters eventually in the series...

Stay tuned for more updates!

Update!

Here is a quick update on my three book series!

Ways of the Pack--
I recently published what I am calling a "spin off" of Ways of the Pack (The Vampire Saga), but the events in it are somewhat pertinent to the next book in the series, coming soon. I plan to publish it very soon. I honestly just need a book cover and then it will be good to go.

Mating of the Beasts--
This series has hit a standstill. I painted myself into a corner with a storyline and I'm having to completely rework everything to make it believable and not completely nonsensical. There are just a bunch of events that I want to take place that are not fitting together right at the moment. What is currently the "third book" may end up being split into several short stories, but I honestly do not see that working out well either... All that to say, I have to step back from this series for a while and then look at it with new eyes.

Wolves Among Us--
I'm currently working on the third book. It will be about 40k words and I currently have 36k, as well as a few ideas for more books in this series. It turns out people really like buying werewolf romance short stories! "The Chase" is currently my best seller, especially in the UK. I know "The Chase" is short and leaves it somewhat on a cliffhanger, but future books/short stories will show what becomes of Tess and Christopher, even if the stories do not focus solely on that couple. Eventually you'll see all the couples in this series show up again somehow. Most of these werewolves know each other... and eventually you'll find out why. ;)

Also, I have the sequel to "Broken" in the works. It will be one of the few books in this series to have a true sequel. The rest, as mentioned above, will simply be brought up or shown in future short stories. Dr. Blythe and Lilly still have quite the journey ahead of them, though, and are deserving of at least one more book to show their struggle towards a Happy Ever After.

So that about covers it! I do have a small update about this website, though.

You might notice that I no longer have links to where you can buy my books. That is because you can get them on almost any eReader now. Instead, I have a page dedicated to each of my series, with lists of each book. It is still a work in progress, though. I plan to add book covers and some extra tidbits to the pages. However, it is comprehensive and should list every single one of my books.

Let me know what you would like to see on this website!
Thanks for supporting me,

The Chase is available now

You can now purchase "The Chase" on both Amazon and Smashwords.

Tess is from an extremely traditional pack. Returning to her pack after four years away at college, as an unmated female, she must participate in an old pack ritual: the Chase.

Unmated wolves from her pack pursue her and the one who catches her gets the ultimate prize: her as a mate.

However, Tess knows how males treat their mates and wants no part of it, determined to evade capture during the chase… but can she outrun and outsmart such strong males? Or will she be forced into mating with a male as bad, or perhaps worse, than her abusive father?

“The Chase” is a standalone werewolf romance short story (just under 10,000 words). It is part of a series, but no other books need to be read in order to understand the events in “The Chase.” Other books in the “Wolves Among Us” series include “Broken,” a novelette, and more are coming soon.

New Short Story!

I apologize for the delay in the release of my upcoming books. They have hit a few snags in the editing process, but are coming!

Until then, however, I am proud to announce a new short story in my "Wolves Among Us" series.

"The Chase" will be released in early April!

Here is the book discription.

"Broken" is now available!

Wolves Among Us: Broken is now available on the Kindle.

Dr. Ian Blythe’s job is to heal physical and emotional wounds.

A tough enough assignment under normal circumstances, but Dr. Blythe does not deal in ‘normal’, for the human girls he helps all have one thing in common: werewolves. Immoral werewolves have victimized every girl under his care.

As if that is not difficult enough, he also must insure that the very existence of werewolves is kept secret from the general public.

However, when Lily White is brought in, a girl who suffered some of the worst abuses imaginable, Dr. Blythe must not only help her heal, but also convince her that not all werewolves are horrible, uncaring, vicious beasts.

He has to show her that some werewolves can be trusted because this time he has a personal stake in the outcome.

“Broken” is a standalone werewolf romance novelette (about 19,000 words). It is part of a series, but no other books need to be read in order to understand the events in “Broken.” Keep an eye out for future “Wolves Among Us” books.

New Book, New Series

Sorry for the lack of updates! Worry not, though because I bring good tidings of new books!

In my absence, I began writing several new books in both my current series and a new series! The books to come in my current series are undergoing rigorous editing, but one of the books in my new series is on its way to being published as we speak... or read... or write... Either way, there is a new book that will be available within 48 hours.

It is part of my new series "Wolves Among Us." The series focuses on a single mythical species: werewolves. These wolves are quite a bit different from the classic werewolves, but with several notable similarities that separate them from regular ol' shape-shifters such as my "Beasts." I will not give to much detail about these new werewolves here. The book coming soon is a good introduction to the species and will cover the basics fairly easily.

The new book is titled "Broken." It is a 19,000 word novelette that will be available for 99 cents. I will admit to you, my loyal readers, that I wrote it as an experiment. I wanted to analyze a character through another character's eyes and I loved the results. I know it may seem a bit short, but it is an introduction in to this new werewolfy world and the story of the two main characters shall continue in future volumes.

Here is the Blurb for "Broken."
